Inspiration
In last week’s Catcoq newsletter, she suggested a citrus prompt: lemons. I wrote about the work in last week’s WrapUp and several days this week, which you can find in yesterday’s post, Lemon Patterns. As you can see above, I created a birthday greeting for a friend using my pattern from this week. Here’s a review of the lemon work. My favorite is the style above, a contour illustration with offset contour lines.
From my Lemons, Ladybugs, and Pansies Collection on Spoonflower, I’ve purchased a table runner and tea towel.
I also uploaded to Society 6 because I’m really thinking about new lawn chairs—
That’s about it for the week. I love the design with the offset contour lines. It took a bit of time to get the pattern line work to be clear and not confusing. But, I am pleased.
Try It
Sign up for Cat’s newsletter for prompts and tips: CatCoq. Scroll down for sign up. And give the lemon prompt a try for your own mini-collection. Lemons are very popular along with other citrus fruits, so choose your favorite and try a collection of your own in your style.
