Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. Storms gather across wide spaces, magnificent across the horizon, and we seem insignificant. Driving home one afternoon in 2014, a series of storms surrounded us. We stopped at the top of the hill a few miles past Wilbur on Highway 2 at the top of the rising landscape, amazed at nature’s play before us, at the earth’s processes that make us so insignificant.
And so, a poem…
Poetry
Magnificence
Storm clouds swirled tumultuously
Sheri Edwards
Rain steady in spots
At the top of the hill we stopped
Small and insignificant
Beneath the magnificence
Of the earth’s immense complexity.
