Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. Enjoying the view across the lake from Steamboat Rock State Park on Banks Lake, Wa. How fortunate we are to live where nature provides mostly good times— sunshine to warm us and nurture the greenery that grows to shade us along the lake waters that cool us when the sun gets too warm. We often turn to one another and say, “We live here.” To hear the sound of songbirds, see yesterday’s post for the sound of of nature: Singing
And so, a poem…

Color of Calm
Blue is the color of calm—
Sheri Edwards
clear blue to the heavens
frames grandfather rock
who holds earth’s history—
rippled blue of the water
laps the treed shore
where it’s cool soothes our story.
