Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. On my walk the other day, the brilliant sky outlined the granite outcropping below which is our little town. We are thankful for it’s shade in the summer’s hot afternoons. And, it once again shows how small we are, we humans on a planet that needs care.

The Rock
Summer heat by afternoon

blazing sun fire;
Up the hill
the sun still shines,
But here,
below the granite
-The Rock-
shade cools us;
a bit of relief;
we sigh in thanks.
