Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. We walked this day at Banks Lake in Steamboat Rock State Park past the boat launch, noticing the silhouette of boaters returning from a day at the lake, which is exhausting in its fun. They are probably ready to turn in and sleep, but still need to put the boat away and return to the campsite. I remember those days of cousins tubing, playing games while eating camp food of salads, sandwiches, and s’mores.
I remember taking the grandkids along with us to the beach, pulling the boat. But little four-year-olds don’t know the boat is hooked to the Jeep and so little Allison kept us informed: “The boat’s still following us, Grampa.” LOL. That’s still a memory we talk about.
