Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. It’s so strange that just a few miles down the road, the sun shines and people boat on the lake, no worries. But drive up the Wilbur hill through Green’s Canyon to the top of the prairie of rolling wheatfields, the storm clouds sing a different story. And so, a poem…

Poetry

Coulee Weather

From the sunshine in the coulee
Up Green’s Canyon of the Wilbur hill
To the top of the rolling prairie of wheat
Nature calls us in thunder
Lights us up in lightning
And nurtures the soil with
a downpour of rain,
blessing us later with a rainbow:
the weather of the coulee.
