Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. In 2015 Scott and I attended a newspaper conference in Coupeville on Whidbey Island in the Puget Sound of western Washington state. On the way, I snapped this photo out my car window because seeing the ocean does something to you. It flows and goes on and away forever, it seems– a horizon where you can lose yourself at any time of the day. And so, a poem.
Poetry
Ocean View
Forever it flows
Sheri Edwards
Onward and out
Waves and tides
Beyond our sight
In cool blues
tinged in white
As the forest
Grows dark
Holding the shore
Where we behold
Where oceans end.
