Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. I was right in the middle of an art class when the storm shouted, “Turn off the computer!” So I did just as lightning struck in the middle of the Columbia River three-tenths of a mile from our house, lighting up the sky and roaring through the coulee. It was intense for quite a while until the blue sky called, “Enough” and pushed the storm and pelting rain away. And look, a double rainbow, which I could not see until I snapped the picture of the main rainbow. It’s night and still raining, but thankfully without the lightning and thunder.
Poetry
Sudden Storm
Light explodes
Sheri Edwards
Clouds roar
Too close
The storm forms
A barricade
Of hard rain,
Sun’s rays peek
Blue pushes through
And the rainbow doubles.
