I saw the Daily Create was about Ralph Waldo Emerson inspirational quotes. I have a favorite quote attributed to Emerson that has guided me:

Finish each day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.

Some blunders and absurdities
no doubt crept in;
forget them as soon as you can.

Tomorrow is a new day;
begin it well and serenely…

As you see in the citation, I discovered today from Quote Investigator that the words are the essence of his message to his daughter in 1854 while she was away at school. His biographers refined / revised his words and run-on sentences to this message.

It’s still a great message, but I thought I better set the message straight. 🙂
