Every day, a photograph, a poem. Just a little purple flower peeking up over the railing on the bridge over the ravine of Fiddle Creek in Cole Park. A little flower that says, “Isn’t it beautiful today?”

Dark green

Fills the ravine
Large and small,
Leaves that cool
The mind and air,
And growing tall,
Reaching for the sun,
A royal and tiny blossom
In vibrant purple
Stretches up
Over the railing
To say hello,
Another small thing
Nature brings.
