What

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. I shared with you our new dog, a golden doodle. We do hope it works out. He’s a year old and has his own way of being which may not fit with what we’re hoping for. Here’s our first walk, from post “D.

Scott and new dog.

I’ve also shared about our wild cat we rescued, whom we could not reach down and pet for four years. We’re pretty patient pet owners, so we might find a way to make it work. We love Guthrie, the dog already. Here’s the cat’s reaction:

And so, a poem…

Poetry

What

What?
What is
THAT?

A dog?

You brought a dog
into my domain?

Am I not the queen?

No!

    1. The cat’s name is IttyBitty. She was so tiny as a kitten, abandoned, we think in an orchard where she was fending for herself. We think this because she loves apples! She is still a small cat, and she’s daring to walk around the house now, despite the new dog.
