What Does the Dog Say?

Guthrie after a morning run in the year's first snowfall

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem.

It snowed today and Guthrie loves the snow. He runs and runs, diving through the sage brush, forging new paths. Today was his second snow run of the year, the first one with Scott this morning.

Here he has run way ahead, knowing which path I’ll take. He stops on the lower road and I’m still on the higher road looking to see what he’s up to.

He sniffs around and then realizes he’s ahead of me, so he runs back towards the turn to find me.

Suddenly he stops and looks up at me. Dogs hear and smell so well, that he knew where I was.

Isn’t it fun to watch a happy, carefree, and loved dog doing his favorite thing?

And what would the dog say? Well, the poem…

What Does the Dog Say

I love the snow
I love the snow
I love the snow
Wasn’t that fun, dad?
