Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. Last Saturday we attended the Rotary gathering for members, a gift exchange / auction and great conversation while we raised funds for next year’s projects, to be determined.
Simple decorations with holiday table cloths topped with gingerbread houses that lit up. I don’t go out much, so it was great to see old friends and laugh and share for a few hours. Laughter is great medicine for the soul.
We weren’t sure how Guthrie would do at home alone, so we brought him with us and left him in the truck. The back seat has a great dog hammock with a hard bottom to go across to the front seat. [Amazon/ by Lassie] He was warm and cozy, and Scott brought him some prime rib scraps in the middle of the doings. And, at the end, our good friend got to meet Guthrie. We sometimes say she likes dogs better than people. LOL.
I hope your next two weeks are filled with opportunities for gathering with family and friends who lift you spirits. This was just such a night.
