Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. On December 29th, 2017 at 3:18 PM, we stopped at McDonald’s for chicken nuggets on our way home from our family gathering. I remembered the tables during summer days in July– the total opposite of this! I had to snap a picture, and today I write the poem.

Can You See Summer?
Imagine summer
Sheri Edwards
sun shining bright
outdoor diners
enjoy a snack in the light
3:18 in the afternoon
summer time food delights;
this distant memory
it’s December now
almost dark; very cold—
snowy tables: inches! Wow!
This is winter’s fluffy delight
with snow a glistening white.
