Day 6 Adventure with D

pattern made from my photos of rock wall with shadows and weave of a blouse
from Day 3

I joined the Delores Naskrent Artistic Evolution Challenge. It’s for a week. I may be able to keep up. This is Day 6.

On Day 4 we photographed textured surfaces to create grey scale versions of the photos to use as textures over the whole canvas or the motifs in the canvas illustration.

On Day 5 we followed that process with portraits using gradient mapping to add color to the different values.

Today, we continued to enhance and remix our portraits. I kept the columbine/sand layer from Day 5 on the portrait, but changed the background to the textured pattern I created on Day 3. After refining the portrait even more, I played with blend modes to create four distinct color portraits. I added in background details about me: family, trees, sunshine, flowers.

I kept the glitter frame and earring and created the new portrait, giving the frame a bit of shadow.
