Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem. On our walk today, I walked through the narrow spot left for walkers and workers in the area at North Dam. Guthrie didn’t see me, but he keeps an eye on where I’m at and follows where I go. He looked over and saw me past the guard rails, ran along the edge a bit, and then hopped over. No problem. Easy Peasy. So after our walk around this part of the area, I squeezed through again, thinking he was right behind me.
He wasn’t, so I pulled out my phone to capture what he does. Sure enough, he sniffed where I had walked, then turned and returned to the area he’d crossed before and just hopped over again.
He’s a golden doodle and so needs LOTS of run time. He gets two walks [he runs] a day and a short walk in the yard at night. He’s a rescue dog, over a year old when he found us and we could not resist the sweet creature, large teddy bear that he is.
And so, a poem about Guthrie.
