Welcome!
On most Wednesdays, check this blog for a strategy, process, or reflection for illustration with the iPad app ProCreate. This Wednesday Wrap Up shares how my art work helps our local library and children’s reading, in this case for Valentines Day.
The Library
The Grand Coulee Public Library is part of North Central Washington Library system. They offer so much help for the community besides books: computers, Internet, research, Homeschool MeetUps, genealogy, online learning, etc. Kids are provided with story hours and activities for science, holidays, and more. One thing the library cannot provide are the prizes and some of the supplies. That’s where the Friends of Grand Coulee Area Library comes in.
My Donations of Art
I’m part of the volunteer group of the Friends of Grand Coulee Area Library. We’ve raised funds and found grants for providing Chromebooks, prizes, supplies. And we sponsor books under the Dolly Parton Imagination Library so preschool kids receive books for free each month.
This month on Valentine’s Day at the Voltage Coffee Shop, we’re hosting a fundraiser where we will raffle off a basket of goodies. I’m donating Valentine’s Cards, a notebook, a mug, and a magnet– all from my art on RedBubble at Sheri42. See the items in my shop by clicking the caption.

I’m excited to know that someone will have a bit of my art to share and enjoy with others.
And a Logo
I also created a logo for the Friends group, revising under the group’s direction and suggestions until we agreed on one that fit our area and library. We live in a usually sunny area with lakes and a geological feature called Steamboat Rock. I captured those elements in the logo. And I donated a few items with the logo.
Did you know you can keep items in your Red Bubble account private? I have several family items and now this logo set to private so only I can see and order them. We, in the Friends of Grand Coulee Library group, can give away a coaster, sticker, card, tote bag, or notebook as a thank you to those who offer to help or provide donations. I’m honored to have created our logo.

Try It
So, if you’re wondering what to do with your art, or how to share it with others, how about donating to local causes? It’s a way to give back to your community and help out with community needs. And it’s a great feeling knowing that your art is out there, a help and joy for others.
I hope you follow this blog for more art inspiration. We can share with #warmup4art to enjoy our work together! I look forward to your sharing and find me at @42Sheri, on Mastodon Sheri42, on Flickr teach.eagle Sheri 42. See my Home Page for links to all my shops to see what I’ve learned and how it turns out on products. Give a share out for your own work, learning, and shops.
