Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem.
Today while walking Guthrie, we noticed a small boat slowly sliding through the placid lake. The boat and horizon, reflected on Lake Roosevelt on a calm and silent, windless afternoon, serenely displayed the blue-grey hues of sky and lake, reminding us it is still winter. I snapped several shots and texted one to Scott who was busy cleaning the yard and sidewalks of what the mule deer leave for us, making a mess to walk in, the opposite of serene.
And yet, we found serenity…
Poetry
Serenity
a ripple of a breeze
Sheri Edwards
water like glass
gentle lap, lapping of the lake
on our small boat
as we slide slowly along
in calm stillness
a placid speck
in the cloudy mirror
of grey sky
rounded hills
a lake view
from the distant shore.
