Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem.
You know it’s been a gloomy winter with little sunshine. But that changed this weekend when my son, whom I still call Giggley because of his sunny disposition, drove up for a visit. Sunshine follows him, and he brought this lovely bouquet of yellow and red roses in clear vase. It will bring joy for days in our kitchen. And Stacy makes her own soap– those lovely shaped, fragrant kind. I love them, and so now have a few more. Thank you.

Greg and Stacy finally got to meet Guthrie– the first ones in our family to meet him.. although we share pics and videos, of course. We walked up behind city hall, and Guthrie was a bit nervous with newcomers to the walk. He stayed very close, keeping an eye on everyone.

And Scott got me a new hat, a red one like his blue one.

As always with Greg, we laughed a lot and enjoyed a wonderful afternoon. These are my favorite days.

Roses on a Winter Day
Roses on a winter day

gathered as a bright bouquet
lighten spirits, lift the day—
and bring on smiles
chasing gloom away.
