Every day, a photograph, a poem. Today is PI DAY, in celebration of the universal number, pi [circumference divided by diameter = pi = 3.14].

I searched my photos for a picture of a pie, which is food in a circle and found this delicious pie artfully baked by granddaughter, Allison, who also snapped the picture. She approved my use of the photo for the poem for PI Day.

Fruit plus crust is pie…
Dessert universal;

Circumference divided by diameter

Universal number pi—

always equals 3.14…
