Daily Note
Every day, a photograph, a poem.
A couple of days ago I wrote about the “Exit to Another Dimension” using the decor from the Davenport Grand in Spokane. It was fun to create, but another piece of decor, this framed mirror provided another interesting adventure.
I couldn’t sleep well, because of Guthrie and also not being at home. So I looked at the lights and shadows in the room, and discovered the sections in the frame of the huge mirror. It must be six feet in diameter, so those sections are large, capturing the light from night in streaks perpendicular to the mirror. You can see the reflection in the daylight photo above.
And as I studied the mirror, I could not tell if the sections around the mirror were concave or convex. I could see each section either way. Finally, I had to get up to see what was the truth about that mirror before I could finally fall asleep.
In the morning, I asked Scott to stand back and decide, convex or concave? He guessed wrong and was surprised when he checked the mirror’s frame.
So take a look at the mirror. Let your eyes try to discover, are those sections concave, convex, or a combination? What’s your conclusion?
And…a poem…
