Daffodil Sunshine

the daffodils by the front porch are beginning to open in their bright sunshining yellow

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. I stepped outside this afternoon to walk the dog and lo and behold, the daffodils by the front porch have finally begun to open to display the sunshine of spring. I love it. I smiled. I thanked the spirit of the universe. I looked inside and snapped a photo, ready for today’s poem. Scott saw the photo opened on my desktop and asked, “Are the daffodils open? I didn’t even notice.”

I noticed. I’ve been waiting, checking, watching. And today, thank you, daffodils, for sharing your joy.

Daffodil Sunshine

Opening slowly
the yellow of springtime,
daffodil sunshine
