The Challenge

I’ve been working all week on  Out On Safari for Shannon Mcnab’s 3×3 Sketch-Design-Repeat Challenge

The Collection

As you can see, I’ve created a coordinated set of patterns and hero element for the #3x3designchallenge  #sketchdesignrepeat  prompt “Safari.” in the image above at top left is the “hero” theme of Safari with the animals around the watering hole and beneath the acacia tree with the savanah grasses around them.

The upper right illustration are the motifs arranged into a trailing vine pattern [thank you Rebecca Flaherty].

The lower left are just the trailing acacia leaves and the lower right are marks for the savanah grasses.

The four work together for home decor items.

I’ve been working all week on  this one [ Hippo and Wrap Up Giraffes ]

I’ve created motifs for the acacia tree [with trailing leaves in diamond pattern], giraffes, hippopotamus, springbok, savanah grass and incorporated these into the hero and pattern.

I mostly used Lisa Bardot’s Basic Toolkit and Imperfect Patterns sets.

I’ll discuss the process of getting to this in next week’s Wrap Up.
