oregon grape in early spring, just about to open into its yellow flowers

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. I love the evergreen of the Oregon Grape. It keeps us in hopes for spring as winter brings only grey and cold. We expect the green to hold some yellow or gold when spring arrives. Today, on our walk, we found the beginnings of blooming Oregon grape, an expectation for a lovely spring with its uplifting colors to bring us joy.

expectations

expectations hold
green and gold in memory;
spring will not dash hopes.
