Lilacs
All year I think of florals and paint them, but in spring the fresh blossoms bring such joy, and in my garden, the lilacs are delightfully fragrant and beautiful. So when Calvin the Drifter of Drifter Studio shared his process for watercolor lilacs in his Let’s Paint Watercolor Lilacs YouTube video, I had to try again to make the process my own. Check out his Calvin at DrifterStudio YouTube Channel for excellent Procreate tutorials and links to his wonderful brushes and paper texture canvases.

I learned the process for this repeat pattern design from Rebecca Flaherty. @bekkiflaherty Rebecca Flaherty is a surface pattern designer and illustrator from the United Kingdom who enjoys sharing what she knows so everyone can be creative. She provides weekly prompts for florals from around the world, 52 Weeks of Florals and has a YouTube channel and Etsy shop as well as teaching on Skillshare. So there are many ways to connect and learn from her.
