Spring in Shadows

shadows of spring leaves; seeing things in new perspectives

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem.

On this day a year ago, the day was warm and sunny, and down the street around the cul-de-sac this lovely shadow pattern of leaves displayed on the sidewalk.

I had to look up and then down again, enjoying the change of perspective as the spring green grass with bright yellow dandelions gives way to the grey and black on the sidewalk.

Above, spring green leaves; below the black and grey, and perhaps nature’s way of reminding us to look at things in new ways, different ways, and accept that life changes and adapts, as do we.

Poetry

Spring in Shadows

Leaves in the shadows
on the sidewalk lined with grass
and dandelions
nature’s pattern on our path
consider views in new ways.
