A Little Note

The Photo:

The Thought:

My cousin in Denfield, Ontario, Canada watched the northern lights as did her friends in England. All around the world the small humanoids on earth watched a display from the universe. We are “of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars.” [Desiderata]

We are of one planet; we all “have a right to be here.” Please hold that in your heart in the coming months and years. We all have a right to be here where we are born, the planet Earth.

In North Dakota as a child, ribbons of light would dance across the sky on our way home from a visit with cousins. My brother and I would curl up in the back seat and stare out the window and the swirling dance of light that soothed us to sleep.
