Inspiration
Every week in CatCoq’s newsletter, she suggests a challenge. Last week it was to draw a monstera leaf, encouraging us to get creative with colors. She provides a blog post for drawing monstera in Procreate: Textured Monstera. For a busy Monday, I decided to give it a try.
The Art
As you can see, I did get creative with the palette she provided as well as create leaves in green hues. I decided to create a pattern with the colored leaves. I plan to add a bird or two in the pattern at a later date. The blue monstera pattern is the colored version set to color burn.
I used Lisa Bardot‘s Loyal Liner brush and the Soft Pastel from Procreate Sketching Category. The repeat background texture was provided in Jennifer Nichol’s Creative Journey Community [affiliate link].
