A Little Note
The Photo:
Across the street, the neighbor’s house now has a Bigfoot sculpture, and every time I glance out the window, I stop, thinking it’s someone or something!
The Thought:
It’s nice that people can create a little fun in the neighborhood. This house also added a gnome village to their garden area— it’s also fun to see what’s new when walking by. Very creative, and a fun for the neighborhood.
And we had some fun in Conconully, Wa outside a restaurant with a BigFoot that looks a lot like Scott:

Sasquatch is an important legend around here, actually in most of the western United States. The Tacoma Library has some interesting stories documented in their digital collection. Even the military has written about Bigfoot as part of one of the Washington Air National Guard. And the late Smoker Marchand created a wonderful sculpture on Highway 155 around Disautel Pass that places Sasquatch on top of the ridge in the Ponderosa Pines as part of the Coulee Corridor Scenic Byway.

So, it’s pretty exciting to have Bigfoot in the neighborhood!
Poetry
Morning Surprise
Woke up one morning
ready for the day
wondering if the weather
would bring sunshine our way;
Glanced out the window
Froze at what’s before my eyes:
right across the street
bigfoot was running by!
