Mom’s Kitchen

In the 1960s Mom’s kitchen was painted a light but bright turquoise. The cabinets were cream colored and so was the pantry and the wall behind the stove, so the color was not overwhelming, but comfortable. The table is now in our kitchen. Here it is at Thanksgiving in 2022:

The Art

Just a quick sketch of mom’s kitchen for today’s doodle. I miss the supper time conversations there, every day at 6 PM. I do not miss doing the dishes. Of course, if I had homework, mom would expect me to do that and she would do the dishes. Yes, even the poor spoil their children in some way, hoping for a better life for them. And, that did happen. Thank you, Mom.
