Wednesday WrapUp July 17

Welcome!

On most Wednesdays, check this blog for a strategy, process, or reflection for illustration with the iPad app ProCreate. This Wednesday Wrap Up shares Procreate work from lessons by Jennifer Nichols of Leila and Po Studio and Lisa Bardot of Bardot Brush.

Summer Camp with Lisa Bardot

July’s theme for Lisa and her Art Makers Club is Summer Camp. She provides oodles of resources and a few live lessons this month with the prompts. I mostly used Lisa’s brushes, especially Imperfect Patterns and the Bonus Brush Set from membership to illustrate the prompts. Take a look at these to see what can be learned from Lisa and her tutorials and brushes:

Floral and Bug Doodles with Jennifer Nichols

Another community I love is Creative Journey with Jennifer Nichols. This week I enjoyed the relaxing style of watercolor and ink from a short class with brushes in Jenn’s community. She also provides a repeat pattern texture canvas which you can see in the illustrations below. I created hero and secondary patterns for florals and bugs:

Try It

Take a look at Jennifer Nichols of Leila and Po Studio and Lisa Bardot of Bardot Brush. See the wonderful encouragement and tutorials they provide for Procreate artists. Look around the websites with links to YouTube channels and IG. You’ll find an adventure awaiting at both places.

Thanks for stopping by!

And you’re welcome to follow this blog for art inspiration. We can share with #warmup4art to enjoy our work together! I look forward to your sharing and find me at @42Sheri, on Mastodon Sheri42, on Flickr teach.eagle Sheri 42.
