Welcome!
On most Wednesdays, check this blog for a strategy, process, or reflection for illustration with the iPad app ProCreate or Affinity Designer. This Wednesday Wrap Up shares a busy week for art — a quick review and back to my holiday collection.
Review
My only blog post this week was one for an older illustration that is so relevant to today: Your Vote is Your Voice. I hope you read it and choose to vote your voice.
The other post I’d like to remind you of, is the WrapUP from August 14th about the Evergreen Cozy Bird project I’ve been working on in Affinity Designer based on the cozy birds I drew in Procreate [see above image]. I’m slowly uploading those to various sites, starting with Spoonflower in the Cozy Evergreen Winter Holiday Collection and also Zazzle for wrapping paper.

Cozy Evergreen Winter Holiday Collection
If you remember I started this as a few cozy holiday birds for my hero art for the collection started for the July CatCoq challenge [@CatCoq everywhere] . I had already finished the bird floral pattern for the project in Affinity Designer and have now finished more coordinates. This mockup is also in Affinity Designer from a wonderful class on Skillshare by Tracey Capone. All the designs below were created in Affinity Designer.

If you remember, I had started with these evergreen palette patterns:

I have not uploaded those to the Spoonflower collection; but I will tomorrow. I did upload the actual hero pattern as a tea towel in two versions: Cozy Birds and Cozy Birds Home Sweet Home. I added polka dots to add more interest rather than just a plain background.

Next I created patterns with the star and poinsettia motifs of the hero pattern using polka dots, wavy stripes, and ogee patterns.

Check it out!
Be sure to check out the collection: Spoonflower in the Cozy Evergreen Winter Holiday Collection and also Zazzle for wrapping paper. See how much fun you can have while designing patterns and sharing your work on POD [Print on Demand] sites. I’ve ordered the wrapping paper and will let you know how it looks and feels. I’m pretty excited about that. I’ll also get the tea towels when the next tea towel sale happens.
So if you’ve been hesitant to share your art– go for it! Start a shop. If you have any questions, just ask! I’d be glad to help with what I know.
You’re welcome to follow this blog for art inspiration. We can share with #warmup4art to enjoy our work together! I look forward to your sharing and find me at @42Sheri, on Mastodon Sheri42, on Flickr teach.eagle Sheri 42.
So, That’s a wrap for this week’s art. Thank you for stopping by!
