The Prompt: #4691 Hand Tracing
My Response:
I decided to trace my hand in the peace sign, so I snapped a pic to import into Procreate.
I traced my hand in Procreate to create a line drawing.
I found the letters L O V E in the hand tracing.
From there I created the bubble letters and filled in the letters, background, added a dotted line to emphasize each letter, and found a mantra I liked.
I found two mantras– both are Metta mantras of loving kindness. The first one is:
May all beings be peaceful.
May all beings be happy.
May all beings be safe.
May all beings awaken to the light of their true nature.
May all beings be free
Then I added the hand tracing to the lower right and a dotted line mimic of the letters in the colored area just to emphasis the symbol/sign and the hope for more love.
I found another Metta Mantra I liked because it fit with my NaNoWriMo and my feelings about spreading love in the universe– all expanding hope for peace forever.
May all beings be happy, healthy and whole. May they have love, warmth and affection. May they be protected from harm, and free from fear. May they be alive, engaged and joyful. May all beings enjoy inner peace and ease. May that peace expand into their world and throughout the entire universe.
