A little yoga to wake up! It's spring! Bear stretching his legs. by Sheri42

The 100 Day Project

I wanted to illustrate a watercolor of a bear tumbling, but I decided to start with the bear in a yoga stretch. I’ve got to think about what a bear in a somersault would look like!

The goal is to make a plan for drawing every day for 100 days– five to ten minutes. That seems doable, doesn’t it? What if you miss a day — listen here. My advice: enjoy it; don’t worry if you miss, just keep going as you can.

My plan is to draw

  • 20 bunnies
  • 20 bears
  • 20 birds
  • 20 dogs
  • 20 cats

I’ve already completed 20 rabbits — find them all in the Bunnies and Bears post. And now I’m working on 20 bears. The first five I sketched and posted here, and now I’m on Day 13 of bears. I started with simple sketches to practice drawing the bear. Once I’d gotten the shape and details, I added in filled with texture bears and then watercolor bears. So here are the bears so far, with seven more to go.
