Did you see him jump?

And You Should Have Seen Him Jump

He walked by until
I called out, “Snake,” and he jumped
four feet left; “Where?” “There!”

This is what happened yesterday on our daily walk with the dog. Scott walked by this little western terrestrial garter snake [mildly venomous]. He jumped when I called “Snake” because we have many western rattlesnakes [venomous pit viper] all around our area. Locals are aware. Calling “Snake” does make one jump!

The dog totally missed it.
