Digital Artists Summit 2025
Drew Steinbrecher offered his Digital Artists Summit 2025, and I joined in the fun, although I’ve only completed two sessions so far. They are quite fun and detailed, so it takes me a while to complete my versions. Each of the artists share a bit about their process in creating abstract art, which to me is very difficult. Think of all the mood and meaning that must be presented visually. It’s quite a thoughtful art form.

Off With Their Heads! Remix Figures for Creative Surprise in Procreate
Quite a lot to learn here with clipping masks and blend modes as well as cutting off the head! I added a bit of my own take with the florals on the dress and the music. These are a bit eerie to see, but I enjoyed watching and learning the strategies for using photos and texture.
I was considering a dreamy summer day, just letting my thoughts wander into a positive land, perhaps into the wee world of fairies.

Creating Textural Mixed Media Collages in Procreate
So much to learn here, with paint strokes, floral, text, music, paper textures added and plenty of mark-making to guide the eye. I imagined a summer day on a sandy beach below the basalt cliffs surrounding Banks Lake with fish splashing and butterflies dancing as the writer imagines the scene. Like I said in the introduction — I find abstract art difficult — it’s not easy to place the motifs and paint to capture the message. But as it grew with each motif and texture added, I could see the lake before me.
I have five or six more sessions to enjoy. Even though it’s over, I think you can still join. Digital Artists Summit 2025 — I can keep going back as long as I need to. Thanks, Drew, for wonderful sessions.
