Sticker Review
Earlier in June I talked about making and selling stickers [Stickers and More]. I mentioned three places for information, tips, and tutorials:
A Start, influenced by Lisa Bardot
It just so happened that Lisa Bardot’s Art Makers Club included a tutorial for quick patterns from simple hero motifs, and that gave me ideas and fun techniques for stickers. The above strawberry is my first in what I hope will be a set of summer fruit stickers. I’ll also use the lemon from the Lobster/Lemon that we drew in class, and which inspired the strawberry. Here’s the mock up from class and the strawberry mock up I created afterwards to get me started with some stickers in this style. A very fun, very easy class. Check out her community!

What about Watercolor for Stickers– Sandra Mejia
I am going to stick with Lisa’s style for the food stickers, but what about florals? What about creating them in watercolor. I’ve taken Sandra Mejia’s water color classes before– she has a wonderful process and brushes for digital watercolor. She recently published another Skillshare class on tulips with the same process: Paint Tulips in Procreate: A Relaxing Digital Watercolor Experience. Here’s my project as I followed that class using my own type of tulips, creating this sticker:

Slowly, I’m getting ideas and styles for my stickers. Time to get busy painting…
