I’m taking Delores Naskrents Affinity Designer MasterClass to learn more about the tools in Affinity Designer and also still using Procreate occasionally, like to create textured drawings to vectorize and use in illustrations created in Affinity Designer. That’s what I did for my entry into Spoonflower’s Autumn Hunt Club, after many different pattern tries. Above is a suggested, but not required palette, which I adapted from a Coolors created palette.
I wanted to do a tartan or plaid, but I’ve forgotten how to do that. So in Procreate I created this ridiculous plaid, which, surprisingly, my husband really liked. He has a shirt similar!

Then I tried, in Procreate again, a herringbone pattern, which I like very much. If you look closely, you’ll see a soft vine overlay:

Next I decided on a splatter/ toss drop template with rabbits and autumn foliage. It grew on me, and I almost chose this one. The rabbits, orange leaves, dragonflies, and background texture are all drawn by me.

Then I remembered it was a wallpaper challenge. perhaps for a classy cosy library. I created two color versions, revamping an old pattern with new foliage and the theme colors.

I chose the navy background on my husband’s recommendation after he analyzed all the patterns. I like both versions.
Crisp Morning Chattering Chipmunks
Early morning, before the hunt, outside the window, chipmunks dance in the woods’ wildflowers. Imagine slipping into the library, pulling out a favorite book, and glancing out the window to the chatter of happy creatures. Perfect for den, library, kids.

I know the Autumn Hunt Club is a classic fox hunt, but since I’m not a hunter, I chose the library window version of Hunt Club.
