Making Art Every Day
The September 2025 art challenge by @bardotbrush with @lisabardotinvites participation in creating and sharing artwork. Artists will explore colors, techniques, and tutorials, fostering creativity together. The color palettes today were created by artist Ana Bianchi @analovescolor. I try to spend less than 30 minutes on these.
September 12 Blooming Cactus with Pops of Pink
I took longer on this one because I watched the Artist Pastel Brush Set tutorial by Lisa Bardot. This brush set includes a color palette, which I didn’t use, and textured paper in different colors. I followed the tutorial, but added the bloom afterwards for the prompt. It’s a great tutorial and I love the Artist Pastels brush set, which includes 2 sets: pastels and blenders.
Lisa added a touch of color every where and I followed that idea in this illustration, bringing in even more pops of color than the prompt suggested. I’m going to practice with these brushes for a few times. They are so textured and still buttery.
