Wednesday WrapUp Cards & Autumn

Autumn Awesomes: squash, pumpkins and pumpkin coffee surrounded by swirl ornamentals by Sheri42

Welcome

On most Wednesdays, check this blog for a strategy, process, or reflection for illustration with the iPad app ProCreate or Affinity Designer. This week I finished Delores Naskrent’s 5 Cards in 5 Days and a fall class from Jennifer Nichols.

Autumn Awesomes

The featured picture above is inspired from a Procreate class with Jennifer Nichols– she has a ton of fall classes and palettes that include free brushes too. Follow her Substack Fall post to her blog post, Fall Back Into Fall, to find all the fall classes in her Creative Journey Community [affiliate link]. Later today, I plan on creating another autumn illustration like this one I wrote about here, which included how to create mockups:

More Than Five Cards

In  Delores Naskrent’s 5 Cards in 5 Days I finished the fast paced, content filled course that starts with sketches and ends with learning to upload to a greeting card site for sale. This will be my third time– this one includes both Procreate and Affinity Designer sections. I’m sticking with Affinity Designer. 5 Cards? Way more than five cards over the past week:

Link to posts for information on the techniques:

  • Folksy Birds
  • Get Well Soon — autumn leaves and an apple border
  • Day 4: Making Border Brushes; revising one card to many
  • Day 3: Take one template and create three different cards with different colors
  • Days 1 and 2 take you through my sketches and choosing one

Thanks to Delores Naskrent’s 5 Cards in 5 Days, a fast-paced, content-filled course for creating greeting cards.

Thanks for stopping by!
