I created this photo doodle “CLMOOC Friends Connect Around the World” from two postcards from two of my CLmooc friends, Kevin of Massachusetts and Sarah of Scotland.
These CLmooc [Connected Learning Massive Open Online Collaboration] Friends from way back in 2013, still connect with one another. One of the postcards is from the National Writing Project / National Park Service celebration called WriteOut–
“Write Out is a free two-week celebration that will run October 12-26, 2025 where we step outside the doors of our classrooms, homes, and workplaces to write and create. Everyone is invited—educators, students, families, and friends—and encouraged to explore neighborhoods, parks, and other outdoor spaces. The goal is to be inspired by the world around us and to connect and learn through place-based writing and sharing.“

PHOTOGRAPHY AND FIVE SENSES
I chose to get started in WriteOut just to share what’s possible. I chose Photography and Five Senses in the Choice Board. What a wonderful choice — I listened to Dudley Edmonson’s story about how he became a wildlife photographer in Duluth, MN. I followed the suggestion to choose one of his photographs from his online exhibition and to complete a graphic organizer about the photo I chose. Click the image for larger viewing.

I shared more about this on my education blog, What Else: WriteOut Awaken the Senses 2025., where I also shared some of my art about the Shooting Star wildflower in the lower photo in the organizer above.
I hope you take the time to check out WriteOut and perhaps take part in its activities– they are engaging for the entire family as you take time to enjoy nature outside. Take a look at the Choice Board and find one you like.
MY Shooting Star Art
Here’s just a bit about my shooting star art. Read more, here: Shooting Star Art

I still need to upload its coordinating designs:

If you have any questions about WriteOut or the Shooting Star designs, please ask. Thank you!
