Autumn All Year Long Autumn Joy Tea Towel for Spoonflower by Sheri42

Welcome

On most Wednesdays, check this blog for a strategy, process, or reflection for illustration with the iPad app ProCreate or Affinity Designer. This week I finished a design challenge, did that chalk drawing I’d planned, and acknowledged a writing outside challenge I’ve taken part in… Read about the topic and follow the links for more information.

WriteOut: a Photo Doodle

CLmooc friends connect around the world sm with postcards of Write Out and a bee

I created this photo doodle “CLMOOC Friends Connect Around the World” from two postcards from two of my CLmooc friends, Kevin of Massachusetts and Sarah of Scotland.

These CLmooc [Connected Learning Massive Open Online Collaboration] Friends from way back in 2013, still connect with one another. One of the postcards is from the National Writing Project / National Park Service celebration called WriteOut–

Write Out is a free two-week celebration that will run October 12-26, 2025 where we step outside the doors of our classrooms, homes, and workplaces to write and createEveryone is invited—educators, students, families, and friends—and encouraged to explore neighborhoods, parks, and other outdoor spaces. The goal is to be inspired by the world around us and to connect and learn through place-based writing and sharing.NATIONAL WRITING PROJECT WRITEOUT

I completed one of the projects in Choice Board.; Read about the art part here: WriteOut and Postcards. Learn more about the program and how art connects to it on my education blog: WriteOut Awaken the Senses 2025.
