Welcome
On most Wednesdays, check this blog for a strategy, process, or reflection for illustration with the iPad app ProCreate or Affinity Designer. This week I’ve played with mushrooms, squirrels, and patterns. Take a look. If you have questions, please ask!
Spoonflower
I try to enter each Spoonflower Design Challenge, and I love when I break 500 out of the thousands entered:

My friend loved the vintage florals design and I do too. She purchased the table runner and sent me this picture. Click the images to view on Spoonflower.

Cat Coq Challenge
This week I need to finish the fourth in the CatCoq’s four week collection challenge. Here’s mine so far– one more to go!

Lisa Glanz Drawn to Whimsy
I’ve also started working through the Drawn to Whimsy Workbook Course by Lisa Glanz. I love her style and have an inkling on developing my own take on it. Watercolor and Gouache are my favorite mediums, so I decided to work my way through the workbook. It’s also very relaxing. Here’s some of the first exercises– practicing linework — confidence, pressure, arm and wrist movement, all of which Lisa thoroughly explains and provides examples.

Looking Back…
I’m also looking back through my art for some favorites: pop of color quick florals; squirrels and mushrooms, vintage columbine.
