Welcome
On most Wednesdays, check this blog for a strategy, process, or reflection for illustration with the iPad app ProCreate or Affinity Designer. This week I’ll share my a pattern and a pastel and a collage from Peggy Dean’s Procreate Bootcamp. It was a slow week, and I’m behind.
Pastel Peony
I haven’t played with pastels for serious work for quite a while, but Jennifer Nichols is sharing more pastel lessons on Saturday. Click this affiliate link for information on how to join — it’s a fabulous community with so many Procreate lessons with templates and brushes. Her pastel lessons helped me be more flowing in my paint strokes and to paint on mostly one layer. Here’s a replay with brushes, layer set up, and statistics to show the “painting” of this peony. If you have any questions, just ask in the comments.
More Scallops– with Shamrocks
Last week I shared a watercolor scallop project, and I wanted to try another. I decided it is almost St Patrick’s Day, so why not something with shamrocks? Here’s the result; I really love it — with the clover flowers and the butterflies. Pleasant design, don’t you think?

Boot Camp Collage
This Sunday is International Women’s Day, and Saturday is a walk in our neighborhood in support of women and their rights. So when Peggy Dean’s Procreate Bootcamp project this week was a collage, I decided to take the lesson strategies and make a poster for this week’s walk. What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by!
