lovely on our street

end of the road on Banks Lake, WA and poem: Thankful Pause I am thankful for the time for the freedom for the gift to enjoy the natural beauty just a few miles from home, a place the dog can roam, and I can walk beside the butterflies, barn swallows, and marsh wrens flying above and through the bulrushes now growing anew among the old along the lake in their own time among our chaos giving us our time our place to pause in thanks for earth’s beauty; a landscape to emulate in literal and metaphoric ways in our daily lives wherever we may be and whatever we do.
