Wednesday WarmUp Dandelion Animation

Welcome!

For the past many weeks, this blog has hosted “Wednesday Warm Up,”— a day of usually quick drawing, inking, brushing as warm up to our serious art. I share a strategy to try each Wednesday using the iPad app ProCreate. I usually only use the brushes in the app— there are so many I haven’t tried that warming up with a new brush will be an added bonus and challenge.

Today I was about to present a bit more about Off-Kilter Illustrations as in last week. However, life got in the way and so instead I share a quick doodle and animation.

This Week

Today I created an illustration for a prompt. My CLmooc friends doodle every day. July’s prompts are from Rachelle at TinkerLab — #tinkerlab

Today the prompt is endless, as endless as the seed of the dandelion floating on its own vortex up and away to be a new dandelion another day… and you can see the result above.

Here’s my process:

Try it!

So please go ahead – Try an animation. The ProCreate Handbook and the ProCreate YouTube Channel provide more specific guidance.

Be sure to share to  #warmup4art . Looking forward to your sharing and discoveries.

Update:

I created this gif / poem for a friend by duplicating the file to change the background layer and add words to duplicated dandelions.
