Fall Celebration

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. Our crab apple trees are fully ripe– they will provide food for the neighborhood deer through autumn and into winter. Scott will take a broom and hit the branches in the winter so the crab apples fall to the snowy ground. Right now they are the color of the holiday season and send us forward into autumn with hope for the future.

Fall Celebration

Red and green for seasons soon
Crab apple tree’s color casts away gloom
and neighborhood deer take delight
from autumn to winter with each apple they bite.
