Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. Red-orange fills the sunset sky over the lake in October from the 2017 wildfires. The west of Washington has horrible fires this year; we so far have been fortunate, but many have evacuated. So seeing a lovely sunset reminds of the need to stay vigilant and support policies that fight climate change.  NASA: Climate Change Effects

October Sunset

Seems we could be thankful for glorious sunsets
Oranges, pinks, and reds slipping into day’s end
But then we remember the lovely effects
Flow from fire’s smoke and we pray for fire’s end.
