Sometimes the glory of trees

a maple tree trunk with broken branch, exposing empty inside but for mushrooms

Daily Note

Every day, a photograph, a poem. Today we found this broken tree the town crew had cleaned up, leaving this exposed and empty branch on the trunk, filled with mushrooms. Trees show us so much about life– letting go through its falling leaves, and that age will take us all. So love strong and freely and let anger fly, forgiving those who hurt us. Tell someone you care today!

Sometimes

Sometimes the glory of trees
is in the gift that they give
that in time our life does ease
and we will not forever live
so each day send anger to the breeze
and say your loves and to enemies, forgive.
