I’m imagining a floorboard in Philidelphia with a bottle hidden in the floorboards containing a note from Elizabeth Powel, who was a social activist woman of the times who asked Benjamin Franklin, “Have we got a republic or a monarchy?” To which Franklin replied, “a republic, if you can keep it.”
